What service did you choose? Why? What are some of the items you included on your custom homepage? What kind of widgets or links could you add to your homepage that would enhance instruction?
It has been some time since I have been able to find sufficient time to get back to this blogging thing. After some gracious help from JJ I was able to better grasp the scope of this task. I think I had confused it with actually making a website, not just personalizing a home page. Consequently the enormity of the task was reduced from a mountain to a molehill and I am now able to go forward at a snail's pace once again! I tried to use Netvibes, but found it difficult to use due to my ineptitude. I ended up using my Yahoo homepage which was extremely easy to manipulate although probably not too sophisticated. I added the weather, movie reviews, and news. I also began to add my thousand and one bookmarks to the page. I do see the usefulness of being able to access both my personal and professional bookmarks in one place from anywhere. Thanks for your patience, Joan. I'll see you at Thing 5!
